The trade runs in the family passed down through generations and shaping the path forward. Our founder’s father was a flooring contractor, and he grew up watching that work ethic firsthand before carrying it with him to the United States, where he started from nothing.
While still in school, he began building the company from the ground up selling flooring door to door the old-school way, learning every part of the trade directly in the field. At 18, he made the decision to leave college and fully commit to building the business.
Matthew, his son, grew up in that environment around job sites, installations, and day-to-day problem solving. Being that close to the business from a young age made entrepreneurship feel natural. In high school, he was already selling on eBay and figuring out how to build things on his own.
While the company has deep traditional roots, we’re actively evolving blending hands-on flooring expertise with a new generation of digital thinking. It’s still the same family business at its core, just expanding how we serve customers and where we show up.
